Your privacy is a right. This policy explains, in plain language, what BANHKHO5A LLC ("SlugSplit," "we," "us") collects, why, and what we do with it. It covers the SlugSplit website, the SlugSplit desktop app, our Discord support server, and our licensing service (together, the "Service"). It forms part of our Terms of Service.
What we collect
If you join the waitlist
- Your email address.
- The date and time you joined.
- Which part of the site you joined from, so we know which page people sign up on.
If you get a license
License keys are issued by hand through a support ticket on our Discord server. To issue and manage your license we record:
- Your Discord user ID.
- Your email address.
- Your name, only if you choose to give it.
- Your license key, when it was issued, and its status.
- The contents of your support tickets.
When you use the app
- Terms acceptance records. When you accept our Terms of Service or acknowledge this policy in the desktop app, we record which document and version you accepted, the time you accepted, the license it was accepted under, and IP. We keep this so we can show which terms applied to you.
- License checks. The app contacts our licensing service to confirm your license is active. Each check sends your license key and saves the last verified date. Our server also sees your IP address as part of the connection, but it isn't saved.
That is the complete list. The website does not use analytics or tracking cookies, and we currently do not collect payment details.
What stays on your computer
Your brokerage login details and connection credentials are stored only on your own computer. They are never sent to us, and we cannot see them. The same applies to your trades, balances, positions, and account activity.
Why we collect and use it
- To email you when the product opens, if you joined the waitlist.
- To issue, verify, and manage your license.
- To answer your support requests.
- To keep a record of which terms you agreed to.
- To send you important notices about the Service, such as changes to our terms or this policy.
- To prevent abuse, such as spam and license sharing, and to meet our legal obligations.
We do not use your information for anything else.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else for their own purposes. We do not send you marketing unrelated to SlugSplit.
We use a small number of providers who handle data for us only to run the Service:
- Discord, which hosts our support server. Your use of Discord is also covered by Discord's own privacy policy.
- Supabase, which stores our license and acceptance records.
- Google (Gmail), which we use to send notice emails.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist emails: until you ask us to remove them, or until the waitlist is retired.
- License and support records: for as long as you hold a license, and for 3 years afterwards to handle disputes and keep business records.
- Terms acceptance records: for as long as you hold a license, and for 6 years afterwards, because they are our record of what you agreed to.
- IP addresses: IP addresses recorded with a terms acceptance are kept as part of that record. IP addresses from license checks are not stored.
After these periods we delete the information, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email privacy@slugsplit.com and we will do so. If you ask us to delete your information, we may keep your terms, acceptance records and anything the law requires us to retain. Deleting your license record ends your license.
We honour these requests for everyone, wherever you live.
Security
We limit what we collect, keep brokerage credentials off our servers entirely, and restrict access to what we hold. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Eligibility
The Service is only for adults aged 18 or over who live in the United States. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
Each version of this policy is numbered and dated. When we make a material change, we will show you the new version in the app before it takes effect, and you will need to acknowledge it to keep using the Service. Earlier versions are available on request.
