Where do I get the app and the key?
Both are in the welcome email. Install the app, open it, and paste the license key on the Activate licence screen.
The account list is empty.
Select a group on the left, or make one with New. Accounts and tasks only show inside the group you have selected.
What is the difference between Manual login and Open in browser?
Manual login opens that account's browser so you can finish verification yourself. Close the window when you are done. The profile stays.
Open in browser has SlugSplit sign in so you can look at the broker. Closing that window ends the visit.
Does a dry run place an order?
No. SlugSplit signs in and walks the order, then stops before sending it. A task places an order only when Dry run is off and you start the task. That spends real money.
New tasks follow Default dry run under Settings, on the General tab. You can change one task without changing that default.
What is the number next to the balance?
Today's move. It is the latest balance minus the balance at the start of today. It shows up once SlugSplit has two readings to compare. Fetch holdings, or a sign-in that reads the account, records a reading.
Where are signals?
In the sidebar, under Signals. Create tasks is on Upcoming and Unconfirmed. Start those tasks from Tasks. Past is the record after the date.
Why buy 1 share, or 5?
On a round-up, 1 old share can round to one new share. On a round-to-nearest 8-for-1, 5 old shares are just over half of 8, so they can round to one new share. Cash in lieu pays the fraction out in cash. Round down drops it. Neither of those leaves you with the new share.
Will it trade after the close?
No. Orders go in during the regular session.
The broker page never opens.
Install Google Chrome and open it once. SlugSplit uses your Chrome. It does not bring its own browser.
Where are captcha, IMAP, and the licence?
Settings. Captcha, IMAP, and License are tabs on that page. General holds dry-run defaults. Brokers holds the per-broker mode, when that broker has a choice.
